IATF认证要求的新第6版将于2025年1月1日生效。

IATF 16949 Rules 6 – Update

New edition of the IATF certification specifications

The new 6th edition of the IATF certification requirements will come into effect on January 1, 2025.

The requirements established by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) are mandatory for accredited certification bodies (such as Quality Austria Certification GmbH). However, there are also specific requirements that every organization certified under IATF 16949 should be aware of.

The 6th edition of the "Rules for Achieving and Maintaining IATF Recognition" will replace the currently valid 5th edition at the beginning of 2025. The new version is available in twelve languages.

Summary of the key changes:

· The applicability for extended workbenches has been restricted.

· Less audit time reduction for upgrades and corporate schemes.

· Defined additional audit time, e.g., in the case of nonconformities.

· Advanced deadlines for audit date confirmation (-90 days) and submission of audit planning documents (-30 days).

· Additional audit planning time if records of management reviews are not submitted.

· An audit program will be required for remote support functions.

· The use of the remote audit method is allowed in specific cases.

The IATF 16949 Certification Rules 6 represent an important step forward in automotive industry quality management.
